(QUINTE WEST, ON) The Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has laid impaired driving charges after a traffic stop.
On Saturday, January 3, 2026, at approximately 7:30 p.m., the Quinte West OPP conducted a traffic stop, the driver was arrested and transported to detachment for further testing.
Joshua MADDIGAN, age 39, from Frankford, was charged with:
Operation while impaired drugs
Operation while impaired blood drug concentration
Possession of schedule I substance Cocaine
Driving a motor vehicle with open container of liquor
Drive motor vehicle without insurance
Drive motor vehicle, no currently validated permit
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on January 22, 2026.
