Pervert Alert: Eddy John BUTLER Arrested For Luring Children For Sex

(SARNIA, ON) The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Child Sexual Exploitation Unit (CSEU), with assistance from the OPP Lambton Detachment, members of the OPP Digital Forensics Unit and Chatham-Kent Police Service, have arrested and charged a Sarnia resident following a child sexual exploitation investigation.
On Tuesday, November 18, 2025, a search warrant was executed at a residence in Sarnia, and several electronic devices were seized.
As a result of the investigation, Eddy John BUTLER, 35 years old of Sarnia, was arrested and charged with four counts of luring a person under 16 years of age contrary to section 172.1(1)(b) of the Criminal Code.
The accused was released from custody following a bail hearing and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Sarnia on December 17, 2025.
Online child sexual exploitation is a serious crime that harms the most vulnerable members of our community.
