Single-Vehicle Collision Uncovers $10K in Suspected Cocaine

(BLANDFORD-BLENHEIM, ON) Two individuals are facing drug trafficking charges after police responded to a motor vehicle collision (MVC) on Highway 401.
On November 22, 2025, at approximately 4:00 a.m., the Oxford Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment responded to a report of a single vehicle MVC between a vehicle and wildlife on Highway 401, in the Township of Blandford-Blenheim.
Officers attended and through investigation, conducted a search of the vehicle which resulted in the seizure of approximately 120 grams of suspected cocaine with an estimated potential street value of approximately $10,000.
One of the occupants was subsequently transported to local area hospital with minor injuries where they were subsequently released. The other occupant did not have any reported injuries.
Additional offence-related property that was seized includes a weigh scale, packaging and cellular phones.
Devon Osei, 33-years-old, of Guelph, has been charged with:
· Obstruct Peace Officer
· Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the purpose of Trafficking Cocaine
· Failure to Comply with Release Order Other than to attend court
The accused was held for a bail hearing and was subsequently remanded into custody.
Vida Wireko, 60-years-old, of Mississauga, has been charged with: Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the purpose of Trafficking Cocaine.
The accused was held for a bail hearing and was subsequently released. They will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock on January 6, 2025.
