(BRANT, ON) On October 10, 2025, at approximately 11:33 p.m., members of the Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a single-motor vehicle collision on Mechanic Street in Paris, Ontario.
Upon arrival on scene police located a parked blue sedan with a lone male occupant seated in the drivers seat. The vehicle had extensive front-end damage and appeared to have recently been involved in a collision. The vehicle licence plate also matched the licence plate of a vehicle that fled from police earlier. Police spoke to the male who was sitting in the drivers seat and following a police investigation Zachary COUSINS a 27-year-old of Cambridge, was taken into custody and charged with the following offences:
Operation While Impaired Alcohol and Drugs
Operation While Impaired Blood Alcohol Concentration Over 80
Mischief Destroys or Damages Property
Flight from Police
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford on October 30, 2025.
