School Bus Driver Charged Following Collision

(LAURENTIAN VALLEY TWP, ON) A school bus driver is facing a charge under the Highway Traffic Act (HTA) after the Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated a two-vehicle collision involving a school bus and an SUV.
The UOV OPP were called to the collision at the intersection of Forest Lea Road and Doran Road at approximately 7:40 a.m. on February 7, 2025. Investigation found that the school bus failed to yield at the intersection and collided with an SUV.
The bus driver, a 37-year-old from Pembroke, has been charged with failing to yield under the HTA. There were no reported injuries from the occupants of either vehicle.
