(ESSA, ON)- The Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested an individual from Angus on multiple arrest warrants and failure to comply with release order charges.
On July 3, 2024, members of the Nottawasaga OPP Crime Reduction Unit (CRU), with the assistance of the Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (ROPE) team executed a warrant to enter a dwelling and arrested an individual in the area of Brentwood Rd. Cody Horan a 32-year-old male from Angus was charged with the following:
Failure to Comply with release order x7
Unauthorized Possession of weapon x5
Possession of a Schedule I Substance Opioid
Also, during the investigation officers executed a search warrant on the dwelling and seized the following:
Brass knuckles, Taser, Machete, nun chucks, body armour and a variety of ammunition including .12 and .20 .308, 30-06gauge shotgun rounds, .40 calibre, .22 calibre and unknown long gun ammunition.
The male was held for a bail hearing and remanded into custody.
